Michael will be in a group show of 40 well-known artists entitled
"Barbie Meets GI Joe" (Curator Patrick Miceli), which opens Sept. 6 at Oakton Community College,
1600 W. Golf Road, Des Plaines, Ill. Each artist was given a life-sized outline of either Barbie or
GI Joe. The show will display each artist's variation on the theme and will feature a full-color catalog.

Michael is now a part of The Drawing Center's Viewing Program
Artist Registry, which can be accessed at www.drawingcenter.org/viewingprogram.
Michael is participating in a group
show at the Harrington College of Design, running August 6-31,
and opening Wednesday, August 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. The show is
a survey of the Foundations Faculty. Michael will have a large
chalk drawing on canvas.

For the month of March, Michael
took over the Open Studio storefront as part of the Special Projects
for the Public Art Program of the Department of Cultural Affairs
(Chicago curator Nathan Mason). View images from Michael's latest
work, "Nameless and
Mute," which he created during his time there.

The Crown Center Gallery, Loyola University, Chicago, featured
Michael in a one-person show of his recent large-scale drawings
on canvas called "The
Hidden," Jan. 19 - Feb. 25, 2007. The opening included
a lecture and gallery talk with the artist and curator Teresa
Parker.
On Feb. 24, Michael was a guest
artist and presented a slide lecture as part of the South Suburban
Regional High School Exhibition which focuses on nineteen area
high schools.

Michael is a winner in the Open
Studios 2006 Midwestern Competition. His work was chosen by Carl
Belz, director emeritus of the Rose Art Museum of Brandeis University,
who selected forty Midwestern artists out of more than 1,000 entrants.
Michael's work appears in New American Paintings, Volume 65
(Open Studios Press, Boston), released on August 18. For
